Here is a video tutorial how to convert mq4 source file to ex4 in metatrader 4 indicators. Note that you can't just copy the mq4 source file to the MQL4 >> Indicators folder and it won't work - you will get ex4 write error when compile the file.
Therefore you have to copy it by opening the file via the Open Data Folder in mt4 platform itself. Copy the file and then open with metaeditor and compile it should be quick. Once the compilation done then refresh the indicators folder in metaeditor window to check if the file successfully converted.
In order to use it close the metatrader chart platform first - failing to do so could freeze the metatrader and waste your time. Re-open the metatrader and start to use the ex4 file by double click on it
